National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) is all set to deploy the Biometric Verification System for sale of new SIMs on 28th February, 2013, said a statement. The new Biometric verification system will require each citizen to approach retailer, franchisee or Customer Service Centers
of Cellular Operators personally and provide his/her finger and palm
impressions for authentication against CNIC data held with NADRA.The Biometric verification system will be performed online and will take approximately 15 seconds.
The verification system will increase security, efficiency, scalability and transparency in order to achieve a foolproof system.Read More
