PCB declared squad for ICC Champions Trophy, dropped Afridi, Gul, Akmal

The ICC Champions Trophy 2013 is slated to begin from 6^th June and PCB declared the 15 member squad. PCB dropped the names of Shahid Afraidi, Umar Gul and Umar Akmal form the Champion Trophy. Afridi was dropped due to his bad performance in the past year.The squad was declared by chief selector, Iqbal Qasim on Monday after getting the chairman PCB approval. The selection committee made some changes in selecting the squad for Champion Trophy.

Musharraf guilty in Bhutto’s murder case

There are solid evidences which claimed that Pervez Musharraf has his hands in Benazir Bhutto murder and the court ordered that Musharraf to remain in judicial lock-up for two more weeks. The interim challan showed that Musharraf is guilty and making fake statements that others are responsible for Benazir murder.The sources said that the challan is possible to be submitted in the Anti Terrorism Court on 3^rd May.

Aga Khan declared the engagement of his elder son with U.S. supermodel Kendra Spears

The famous U.S supermodel Kendra Spears is set to marry with the Prince Rahim Aga Khan. They are engaged and the declaration was made on Friday by the Aga Khan in a press release on his website.They will marry in a Muslim ceremony, no wedding date is finalized yet.
Prince Rahim Aga Khan holds a BA from Brown University and an executive management degree from the Navarra Business School in Barcelona, Spain.

Chambaili goes to Cinemas Today

“Chambaili” a film presented under the banner of Geo Films is released today across the country. ‘I will sit among Public not in PM House’: Nawaz Sharif

Nawaz Sharif, while addressing the public in in Yazman Tehsil of Bahawalpur, said that he will serve the public devotedly, if his party will come into power. He added that he would not sit in the Prime Minister’s House but with the people to resolve their problems. He said that PML-N previously served the nation devotedly and public should vote to PML-N candidates for prosperity in the country.

Musharraf to undergo Physical Remand

Prevez Musharraf is to undergo physical remand till 30^th April. Today,  Musharraf has been taken in Anti-Terrorism Court Rawalpindi. The ATC has ordered his physical remand to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) till 30^th April in Benazir Bhutto assassination case. FIA requested the ATC to issue orders for the physical custody of Musharraf and Judge Chaudhry Habib-ur-Rehman accepted the FIA’s request. Musharraf will re-appear in court on 30^th April for next proceedings.

PML-N to form Policies for Women’s role in running governmental affairs

The president to Pakistan Muslim League (N) Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that if their party would come into power they will make participation of women in legislation and other affairs possible. Chances of YouTube restoration are Bright

There are bright chances of YouTube restoration in Pakistan in the first week of May, said reports. He sources claimed that the ban on video sharing website is probably to be lifted in the first week of May as the administration of Google has approached the Ministry of Information Technology in a bid to block the anti-Islamic content on the YouTube permanently. Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) blocked the access of YouTube in Pakistan due to the blasphemous movie content available at the website.

Acid attack on women in Multan

Today a terrible incident happened in Multan district where two people have thrown acid on three women. The reports said that the victims include a mother and her two daughters, living in the village Nauranga on the outskirts of Multan. They are shifted to Nishtar Hospital Multan. Police claimed the arrest of one accused called Altaf and told that Altaf and Naveed had some enmity with Aziza Mai and the accused wanted to take revenge from the woman.

Musharraf is under arrest, appeared before the anti – terrorism court, Senate demands to try him under article 06

Pervez Musharraf has been taken before an anti – terrorism court in Islamabad under heavy security. The case of Musharraf is heard by judge Kausar Abbas Zaidi, at the ATC which was established on Friday. Musharraf was charged that he ordered the illegal custody of judges while we has in power, his lawyer said. The judge issued an order for a two-day-long transit remand of Musharraf.

Pervez Musharraf runs away to evade the court’s arrest order

Islamabad High Court has rejected the interim bail extension Plea of Pakistan’s former president Pervez Musharraf  and ordered his immediate arrest.Pervez Musharraf, accompanied by his guards, had appeared before court to look for an extension in his bail, but the court by dismissing his plea order his arrest. Musharraf  was immediately run away from the Islamabad High Court complex by his bodyguards at unknown place.

The movie ‘Shootout at Wadala’ is now slated to release on 3^rd May. The Judges of Indian Supreme Court have given the actor Sanajy Dutt  four weeks of freedom to surrender for his imprisonment, according to judges their decision was based on ‘humanitarian grounds’.Sanjay Dutt was found guilty last month for criminal possession of weapons in a case related to the 1993 blasts in Mumbai, was destined to return to prison by tomorrow. Etihad Airways Announces Strongest Ever First Quarter

Etihad Airways, which this year celebrates its 10^th anniversary of operations, has recorded its strongest ever passenger and cargo results for a first quarter.  The Abu Dhabi-based airline posted Q1 2013 passenger revenues of US$900 million (2012: US$758 million), an increase of 19 per cent; and cargo revenues of US$193 million (2012: US$165 million), an increase of 17 per cent. Passenger numbers in Q1 2013 grew by 18 per cent, rising from 2.3 million to a record 2.8 million.

YouTube to stay banned

The ban on the Google’s video sharing website YouTube will remain continue till the removal of Anti-Islamic content from the website, said the interim setup. An official was quoted by the Express Tribune as saying that the negotiations are underway with Google Inc, and hope a breakthrough soon. The official further added that the video sharing website YouTube was being urged to at least
block the video in Pakistan if they could not overall remove it from the website.

No Additional Protocol Amenties for Sharifs

The additional Protocol services enjoyed by Sharif brothers are going to end. The Election Commission of Pakistan took the notice of extra amenities and order to remove them instantly. In this regard ECP has issued directives to caretaker government of Punjab.
