Nokia has declared that it would launch its Nokia Asha
501smartphones in Pakistan with-in a week. The new Asha 501 is the first
smartphone from the Finnish company to run
the new and improved Asha mobile platform.The Nokia Asha 501 offers an
intuitive new user experience, such as Fastlane, and deeply embeds
social networks and connectivity. The Nokia Asha 501 smartphone will
also be available across
countries in Europe, Africa ,the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and Latin America, in following weeks. The aim of Nokia by launch Asha 501 is to target emerging markets and low end buyers.
The new device has two screens, namely ‘Home’ and ‘Fastlane.’ Home makes full use of the three-inch capacitive touchscreen, displaying a traditional applications like Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB), Twitter and Foursquare.
Fastlane is the second screen that adapts to display recent activity on the phone as well as upcoming events.it is also claimed that the Nokia Asha 501 smartphone offers 48 days of battery stand-by – when using a single SIM.
Other features of Nokia Asha 501 are a resolution 3-inch touchscreen, a 3.2-megapixel QVGA rear-facing camera, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 3.0, WLAN IEEE 802.11 b/g/n, GPRS. EDGE, and a Micro SD card support up to 32 GB.
Nokia Asha 501 will be available in Pakistan with the price tag of Rs. 10,000 in six colors including cyan, bright red, yellow, bright green, black and white.
The Nokia Asha 501 smartphone is 12.1 mm thick and weights only 98 grams.
