Acer intros Chromebook C720 with Intel Haswell
Processor. Acer has introduced a new Chromebook
C720 with Intel
Haswell. The company has released its C720 Chromebook just two days after Google revealed its HP
Chromebook 11. The Google HP Chromebook runs an ARM processor. It's the first Haswell Chromebook. The Acer
Chromebook C720 features a 11.6-inch display with anti-glare technology, a resolution of
1366 by 768 pixels, Intel Celeron 2955U processor. It offers an
8.5 hours of battery life with a single
charge.
The Acer Chromebook C720
includes a 4GB
of memory, 16GB on-board SSD storage, 100GB Google Drive space for two years, USB 3.0, USB
2.0 and HDMI ports.
The HDMI port offers output to an
external display. Other features of the Chromebook C720 are a 802.11a/b/g/n
Wi-Fi, an HD webcam, microphone, dual speakers, an SD card slot, and full-size
keyboard. It is also thinner and lighter than previous Acer Chromebooks. The dimension
of the C720 is 19.05mm thick and weights 1.3kg.
The Acer Chromebook C720
will go on sale in the month of November in the UK first with the price tag of £199
or $250. It will
be available for pre-order at mazon.com and BestBuy.com.
The Acer C720 is quiet cheaper than the
HP Chromebook 11. The HP Chromebook 11 is available in for purchase in the US and
launch on Amazon, HP Shopping, Currys, Google Play, and PC World on 21st
October with the price tag of £229 or $ 364.84.
