Mobilink has established
the largest Biometric Verification System (BVS) for sale of SIMs at 480
locations in 243 cities across Pakistan. The expansion of
implementation of the BVS is in line with the guidelines of the PTA to
ensure transparency and accuracy in the sale of SIMs. In this process a
total of 409 franchisees, 40 Customer Care Centers and 31 Business
Connect Centers have been equipped with state-of-the-art hardware and
software to support the biometric verification process.
Mobilink successfully installed the BVS system at more the 400 locations in Pakistan within the deadline of December 20,, 2013
set by the PTA. In order to ensure customer satisfaction and
unparalleled adherence to the regulations set by the PTA, Mobilink has
completed the training of more than 550 representatives of the Mobilink
Sales Teams and Customer Care Representatives as well as Franchise
Owners and Customer Support Executives across Pakistan.

In
the first phase of the BVS roll-out, Mobilink set up the largest
footprint of BVS in Karachi within the PTA set deadline of November 30,
2013. The BVS footprint was rolled across Pakistan in the second phase.
The BVS will be utilized to make all the New Sales Activations as well
as cater to the Transfer of Ownership cases for the customers. The BVS
verification system will continue to work in in parallel with the 789
verification system to ensure maximum security.
