Microsoft tested Surface
Smartphone while Nokia Plans to Use Android OS on its Devices. Microsoft is reportedly testing Surface smartphone.
Microsoft had earlier launched the Surface tablet, which could not impress
consumers and now the company has a plan to launch smartphnes under the
same brand “Surface”. The company has
tested the Surface Smartphone before purchasing Nokia and when Nokia was still considering Android operating
system for its quite successful Lumia range of
smartphones. Microsoft had built a number of Surface Smartphone
prototypes for testing, reported The Verge. This project of the company was
headed by the head of the Windows Phone and Xbox operating systems, Terry
Myerson. Now it remains to see when the Microsoft Surface smartphones will hit the
shelves.
