Mobilink, as part of VimpelCom and Opera Software have signed an agreement to extend their partnership as a means to enhance the Mobilink customers’ experience of using the country’s fastest mobile internet. The agreement aims to extend the Opera Software services in VimpelCom operations across the globe.

Mobilink customers through this exclusive partnership will enjoy the fastest mobile internet browsing experience as Opera compresses the data by up to 80%. The extended strategic partnership will offer Mobilink mobile internet customers with a complete internet engagement by offering them with free Facebook Zero, Twitter, Wikipedia, Mobimusic & espncricinfo browsing.

SMS Craze fades in UK

SMS Craze fades in UK. It is for the first time in the history of the UK that the people showed low interest in SMS. The change comes due to the number of text application, including whatsapp, iMessage, BBM, Snapchat,etc. present in the Smartphones. The number of text messages fell for the  first time since its arrival in 1992 in Britian. Beside the above mentioned application Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus also attributed a lot in fall of text  messages.
The figures from Deloitte shows that in 2013, the smartphone users in the country just sent 7 billion fewer text messages  than in 2012. The reports claimed that the use of SMS will further fall in the United Kingdom in 2014.

Nokia Rolled out a New Software Update for the Nokia Asha 501

Nokia Rolled out a New Software Update for the Nokia Asha 501 last week, with some Big Changes to the OS to offer a better all-round Experience. So what’s new? Turn on your Nokia Asha 501 for the first time after installing the update, check out the menu, and one of the first things you’ll notice is a new icon – WhatsApp – providing a feature that plenty of Asha 501 owners have been asking for over the past few months.
Tap the icon and WhatsApp downloads automatically. The app itself looks fantastic, and as with all the other features in the latest update, it’s particularly easy to use.
Changes to Fastlane:

The changes run a lot deeper than that, though, and Fastlane is one of the biggest beneficiaries of the update. It’s now possible to remove individual apps and items from your feed, so you can keep Fastlane simple, uncluttered and filled with the features you truly love the most.
To remove an item from Fastlane, simply tap and hold, and then delete it using the cross at the side. It’ll still be in the main menu of course, but just won’t appear under that day’s activity on Fastlane.

You can also choose which items appear on your Fastlane list, picking from: Alarm, calendar, calls, installed apps, messages, music, new photos, notes, radio, recent apps, recent web page, Bluetooth sharing and social networks.
My own favourite feature in the update is the new camera offering, which lets you swipe the lock screen upwards to automatically start the camera – there’s no need for a dedicated shutter button for the camera,
When you swipe up you can open the camera, video mode or gallery, meaning there’s no more wasted time when you’re looking to shoot something exciting, or wanting to share things with friends.
I also love the fact that it’s now easier to navigate through menus, sharing content, moving or deleting as you go. Tap and hold a photograph in the gallery and a large, simple menu appears. Simply select the way you want to share it – via messaging or Slam, for example – and there’s nothing more to do.

Mobilink customers will enjoy innovative mobile messaging and social offers including full WhatsApp functionalities like group messaging, sharing pictures, video messages, voice messages, contacts and locations.
Commenting on the announcement Moied Javeed, Director Marketing Mobilink, said:

This agreement will complement Mobilink’s partnerships with Wikimedia, Google Play and Opera Software along with its partnership with Nokia to deliver better mobile services and web browsing for its consumers. The new innovative Mobilink and WhatsApp offers have also been launched in Bangladesh with other VimpelCom operators to follow in due course.

Gfive launches Bravo A2 Mobile phone with Dual-core Processor. Gfive has launched a new sleek and stylish handset called Bravo A2 with a high-end features. It's a very stunning device and has the capability of trio SIMs active simultaneously. Gfive Bravo A2 is an exciting device which features a 3.5 Inches HVGA HD Capacitive Touch Screen display and is powered by a 1. GHz dual-core processor. Ban on Skype, Viber, WhatsApp and Tango in Karachi for 3 Months

The government of Sindh has decided to ban the Skype, Viber, WhatsApp and Tango in Karachi by keeping in view the security situation. This decision was taken during a meeting between Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah and other security officials including the additional IG Karachi, DG Rangers and representatives of intelligence agencies. The ban was declared by the Provincial Information Minister Sharjeel Memon. He said now the terrorists are using these instant messaging and voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) applications including Skype, Whatspp, Tango and Viber to communicate after the targeted operation was launched. He said that the Home Minister will contact with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to impose the ban on the services in the province.
