Apple officially unveiled iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, to hit shelves on 20th September


As Expected, Apple has unveiled its new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C at 10th September’s event in California. New details were also revealed for the upcoming iOS 7 operating system. The design of the iPhone 5S follows the footsteps of the predecessors and is made of high-grade aluminum with high-chaffered edges. It still has the same thin 7.6mm profile and it still weighs merely 112g, but there are lots of  changes in the new model as well. The iPhone 5S includes the first ever 64-bit A7 chip in a phone,which is said to be up to 40 times faster than the original iPhone with graphics being up to 53x faster. It also brings an updated camera of 8-megapixel iSight camera with f/2.2 aperture, alongside a new dual-LED Flash dubbed “True Tone” which consists of a blue and an amber LED and operates on up to 1000 different levels to make photos appear natural.The M7 is a co-processor that can detect motion using a trio of sensors – Accelerometer, Compass and Gyroscope. Along with the new motion sensing API in iOS7 will enable a new generation of sports and fitness apps, which can read and monitor your physical activity more correctly. Apple also introduces Auto image stabilization to the camera, which works by taking a burst of 10 pictures in a second and picks the best one from the lot.

The other features of the iPhone 5S include a 4 inch Retina with 640 x 1136 resolution with improved battery life with 1440 mAh capacity that offers 3G talk-time of 10 hours, 250 hours of standby and up to 40 hours of music playback. It also features a Bluetooth 4.0, LTE, Wi-Fi and Lightning Port are used for connectivity. Definitely a nano-SIM card is used.

For improved security, iPhone 5S introduces Touch ID or Biometrics, a fingerprint scanner that is built into the home button. It will be available in three colors: Black-Slate, White-Silver and White-Gold. The iPhone 5S will be available with the price tag of 199$ for 16GB and 299$ for 32 GB while at a high 399$ for the 64 GB version.

Apple has also launched its new iPhone 5C. It has been designed as a revamped iPhone 5, complete with A6 chip, 4-inch Retina display with the same resolution (640 x 1136 pixels), 8-megapixel camera.
Running on  iOS 7 software the iPhone 5C features 100Mbps LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0. It is a bit thicker than the iPhone 5 and contains the dimensions of 7.6mm and weights 132g. It will come in five color options: White, Blue, Green, Yellow and Pink. The price tag of iPhone 5C is $99 for the 16GB and $199 for the 32GB, both on a 2-year contract.

Both the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5C will launch on September 20 in the US, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore and the UK. China is in the first wave for the first time.
Both the iPhones will be made available in the 100 countries by the December.
