Lala Textiles signs on Iman Ali as their Brand Ambassador for 2014

Leading textile brand Lala are delighted to announce talented actor andmodel Iman Ali astheir Brand Ambassador this New Year. Iman, who is one of Pakistan’s most recognized stars will be seen across Lala’s Spring/Summer, Mid-Summer and Winter Collection shoots within 2014. Her Lala ambassadorship coincides with her latest film Operation 021, in which she is reunited withformer co-star Shaan Shahid.

Designer Sana Salman ushers in the New Year with ‘Gold Dust’

After the launch of the label’s fall collection ‘Falak’, a Karachi based designer Sana Salman launches a new range of winter formals under the name ‘Gold Dust’. The new collection is currently available through custom order at the Sana Salman Studio located at Tipu Sultan Road, 70/71 Alhamra Society in Karachi and will soon be available for online order through the multi-label store Brand Central.

For ‘Gold Dust’, the designer drew inspiration from vintage embellishments and the delicate gold work which was prevalent in Europe during the 16^thand 17^thcenturies. In a departure from the traditional design approach, the label initiated the collection by first working on its embellishments, which were meticulously crafted through contemporary design practices and stitch work techniques.The finalized embellishments were followed by the selection of prints and fabrics which are based in dynamic shades of golds and blues and features modern and sleek cuts with jackets, stylish jumpsuits,belted dresses and sequined outfits.

Dawn of an exciting new era for Pakistan hotel landmark.With the start of the New Year an exciting new era has dawned for a beloved five-star Karachi landmark. On January 1, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts took over management of the 407-room Sheraton Karachi, based on the city’s prestigious Club Road. 
Rebranded the Mövenpick Hotel Karachi, the hotel is the first property in Pakistan to be managed by the upscale international hospitality company of Swiss heritage. Mövenpick presently operates 80 hotels, resorts and Nile cruisers in 25 countries across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
