"Treasures of Islamic Art" Gallery attracts art-lovers in Karachi. “Treasures of Islamic Art Gallery” was recently launched by Ruheena Malik in (Please add the name of the place here, instead of saying Clifton), Karachi. A colorful inauguration ceremony was held on Friday, 17th January 2014, where Formal Federal Minister and Ex-Ambassador to USA – Ms. Sherry Rahman was the chief guest. 
Ruheena Malik is a seasoned artist, blessed by Allah with an abundant talent of Calligraphy. She is an impassioned soul, to whom art comes from within. Her self-acquired calligraphic skills came about as a result of divine intervention.
Ms. Malik has been honored with a “Pride of Performance Award”, presented by the President of Pakistan on “Pakistan Day”- 23rd of March 2009, in appreciation of her outstanding services in the field of Art and calligraphy.

Ruheena's passion for historical art has led her to establish this first-ever Islamic Art Gallery in Pakistan, located at F-65 Block 4, Clifton, Karachi. “Treasures of Islamic Art Gallery” has opened its doors to welcome the art-lovers and cultural enthusiasts to view, appreciate and obtain the great works of Islamic Art, created on paper and wood carvings.
Speaking on the occasion, Formal Federal Minister and Ex-Ambassador to USA, Ms. Sherry Rahman said “It was an immense pleasure to see the work of the most talented Ruheena Malik. Calligraphy is indeed a gift to the blessed one and we are lucky to have Ruheena Malik to represent Pakistan in the calligraphy world. However I would wish to see more talent come up in the field of calligraphy and represent Pakistan on international level”
Ruheena loves fusing her designs with traditional and modern elements, including; table tops, Antique doors, tiles and panels, while she also loves to collect, restore and display all forms of classy antiques. Over the years, Ruheena’s outstanding calligraphic masterpieces have been presented to many Heads of States and Royal Dignitaries, belonging to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Iran, Bahrain, besides other prominent global leaders.
