The Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone-starrer Chennai Express  breaks all the records at its released on Eid-ul-Fitar on a record 3,500 screens in India and 700-plus screens abroad, including 196 in the United States, reportedly one of the largest global releases ever for an Indian film.

The makers of the movie decided to delay the movie to avoid the clash with Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Chennai Express’. The movie Main Hoon Shahid Afridi was earlier slated to release on Eid-Ul-Fitar. The movie ‘Chennai Express’ is also scheduled to release in Pakistani cinemas on Eid after an import ban was overruled.
