Rumor: Apple is testing iWatch with flexible
OLED displays. There are lots of rumors that
suggested that the Apple is testing iWatch with a flexible OLED display. The Korean
website Chosun Ilbo claims the
company is testing several versions of a flexible display. It seems that the tech
giant is to clinch wearable computing with open
arms. The rumors said that the company is apparently testing three different screen
sizes of iWatch at 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5 inches. The reports also revealed that the Apple
may be testing iWatch designs that employs flexible OLED display panels. The gadget
itself is not likely to be flexible, of course, but the use of a flexible panel
would permit Apple to create a curved screen similar to the one seen in the
concept render above.
No doubt Apple South Korean rival namely
the Samsung surpassed it in the race of smartwarches with its dubbed Galaxy
Gear, but the device is apparently failed to offer a unique experience. It is
hoped that Apple will do its best to prove itself the unique innovator of
gadgets.
Apple’s iWatch will reportedly debut
sometime in the second half next year, and it will reportedly cost between $149
and $229.
