Samsung has introduced its new entry level and
of course budget friendly smartphone dubbed as Galaxy Star Pro without making
any official announcement. It’s the second device by Samsung that
comes under the price tag of Rs 10,000 after the Galaxy Trend Duos.
The
Samsung Galaxy Star Pro supports
dual-SIM and comes with a 4-inch WVGA display with the resolution of 480×800
pixels. The device runs on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and is
powered by a 1GHz single-core cortex A5 processor. Other features of the Galaxy Star Pro include a 2 megapixel rear camera , a 512MB
of RAM, 4GB of internal storage expandable to 32GB via microSD card. Samsung's
affordable offering supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, but lacks 3G connectivity. It supports a 1,500mAh battery, which is capable of about 15 hours of talk time and up to 370 hours of standby time. The Smartphone will come pre-loaded with several Samsung apps including ChatON, as well as other apps like mFluent IM, and ActiveSync.
The dimension of the Galaxy Star pro are 12.12 x 6.27 x 1.06 cm and Weight is 121g.
Available online at a popular online retail portal with the price tag of Rs 6,989 (about USD$111), the Samsung Galaxy Star Pro is compete with Micromax devices presently available in the market. The Samsung Galaxy Star smartphone is available in India with the price tag of Rs 5,240.
